What is Fiber Arts?

Fiber Art is made from natural or synthetic fibers such as cloth and yarn. Fiber arts can be ceated in many different ways and for many purposes. Embroidery, sewing, knitting and crochet, basketry, fabric dying, and weaving are all different types of fiber arts.

Some tools that are available to students in the Fiber Arts Center include:

-cloth, canvas, felt

-ribbon

-sewing kits (needle, scissors, etc.)

-embroidery thread

-embroidery hoops

-beads

-buttons

-jewelry findings

-yarn

-string

-knitting and crochet needles
